Fall is in the air, and we are already into our second month of the school year. Thank you for helping to make the adjustment to school smooth and pleasant for the children. It is very rewarding to see the smiles on their faces as they enjoy learning in the positive educational settings that we offer.
While we believe that we will provide your child with an excellent educational experience, we encourage your participation through regular communication with your child’s teacher and support staff. Educational research continues to validate the importance of regular communication between home and school both directly and through attendance at school functions such as meetings of the Board of Education and the Parent Teacher Association. If questions about your child’s education arise from time to time, please do not hesitate to call or visit the school.
School will be closed on October 9th for Columbus Day.
Our first Coffee Hour with the Superintendent will be scheduled shortly and a flyer will be sent home with your child.
A Board Work Session meeting is scheduled for October 18th at 7:30 PM, at the William L. Buck School, followed by a regular Board meeting at 8:30 PM. The Board will be honored in recognition of Board of Education Recognition Week. Our Technology Program will be presented by Mr. Mark Onorato, Director of Instructional Technology and Data.
On behalf of the Board of Education and Central Office Staff, I wish you and your children an enriching and enjoyable school year. Please know that if ever a member of our central office staff or I can be of help to the education of your child, do not hesitate to call.
