Dear Parents and Guardians:
I certainly hope that you and your family have had an enjoyable Thanksgiving. It is difficult to believe that the winter and holiday season are already upon us. At this time of year, when we typically give thanks for the freedoms and the high standard of living that we enjoy as Americans, I would also like to give thanks for the outstanding school district that we are a part of.
Throughout the years that I have served as your Superintendent, each day I have witnessed a community that is truly supportive of education and a Board of Education that works tirelessly to continually improve on the services that we deliver. I would like to give thanks for the joys that we as professionals witness each day in the classrooms throughout our district. It is a delight to see our children’s smiling faces as they are actively engaged in the learning process.
I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events in December. The Holiday Programs are scheduled as follows:
Brooklyn Avenue School - December 4th – 7:00 PM
Robert W. Carbonaro School - December 5th – 7:00 PM
William L. Buck School - December 11th – 7:00 PM
There will be a Board Work Session meeting December 6th at 7:30 PM.
Our next Board of Education Work Session meeting is scheduled for December 13th at 7:30 PM, followed by a regular Board meeting at 8:30 PM.
School will be closed for Holiday Recess December 25, 2017, through January 1, 2018. School will reopen on January 2, 2018.
My best wishes are with you and your family for a happy holiday season. As always, please feel free to contact me if I can assist you in any way.
